Green Pastures

I couldn't pass up stopping at this ranch on our way to Bryce Canyon to see the horses grazing on the green grass. Storm clouds were rolling in.

Storm's Brewing

Storm clouds were threatening, but the sun was still sneaking in at Bryce Canyon National Park.

Downpour

The clouds finally open up and start pouring at Bryce Point. This was taken in June, the dryest month, which averages just .6 of an inch, so this was a treat to see the clouds and rain rolling through and darkening the beautiful rocks.

Despite the rain storms passing over the Bryce Canyon area, this farm still needed a drink. Bryce Canyon in the distance.

Grand Rainbow

This rainbow looked like it was literally shooting out of the cloud. We had already seen one rainbow earlier in the day at Bryce Canyon, so to see a second one that day was amazing.

Zion Sunset

In the canyon, you can't always tell if you're going to get any sun and then suddenly it's there- wow! I almost missed this shot until I saw some color creeping on the rocks and knew I had to pull over and set up.

Virgin River in Autumn

Resilience

A wonderful old tree at the north rim of the Grand Canyon. The bark seemed like it was charred and twisted, but it still had green branches reaching for the sky.

Splashes of Autumn

Stanley Park in Vancouver is a great place to walk, run or bike. There are beautiful trees, rocks, boats, ships and birds to watch during your visit. I like this scene because of the fall color, the clouds and the ships in the distance that are seeking calmer waters.

Break in the Clouds

The clouds lift up just enough for the evening sun to streak through and light up this autumn day. Stanley Park in Vancouver is a great place to watch ships of all sizes that are seeking calmer water.

One of the great things about Vancouver is its mix of green space, water and city. This captures how beautiful autumn trees and the blue-green glass of the buildings make for an impressive view.

Natural Beauty

View from Deception Pass Bridge near Oak Harbor Washington. This area is called Canoe Pass. The water is very still and blue with some red seaweed floating just off shore. This is one of those spots where people just quietly take it all in and are amazed at the natural beauty.
